The origins of Skye Kissed Designs

I want to thank everyone who took the time to check out my website, read my blog, and follow me on this incredible journey. As I was sitting at my computer wondering where to start, a little voice in my head (no, I'm not crazy) said how about at the beginning. So, I will tell you how Skye Kissed Designs came about.  A little background about me. I have been an oncology nurse for 12 years and I love it. Then Covid hit and we were all thrown into a situation that we could never have imagined. During the next ten months, I worked 14-16 hour days and when I wasn't at the hospital I was isolating myself. As you can imagine I became burnt out and depressed. One day in December my brother sent me a Youtube link and told me to watch it. Well, it was a colander pour by Molly's Artistry and I fell in love. I started pouring which, made me so happy, except for the wasted paint. I again turned to youtube and discovered how to make jewelry out of the leftover paint. The pieces were so pretty that I started giving them away to my friends and coworkers. Well, it snowballed from there. People started asking me about my jewelry and if I had a website, but of course, I didn't.  That didn't last long, because before I knew it my son-in-law Harry built me a website. The only thing left was the name. Well, my oldest granddaughter wanted me to use her middle name Skye, then gave me a kiss to seal the deal. So Skye Kissed designs was created. I still love my nursing job, but I am enjoying this new journey.
